REGISTRATION Process

As much as we would love to accept all new players, the reality is as a small sports club we only have a certain amount of spots open each season on any given team. Depending on the age group, an application process is required for all new players to be considered for selection. At the end of each season players on existing TOP Academy teams are given the first right of refusal to return for the following season, with the notable exception of tryout-based teams in the TOP Hockey program (age 10 and older). Once the number of open spots is determined on each team, evaluations will begin once the application window is closed and/or tryouts are completed.

TOP Soccer & TOP Lacrosse Teams

Players who wish to play on a TOP Soccer or TOP Lacrosse Academy are welcome to register by BY filling out an online application form. Based on available spots, only a certain number of players will be accepted on each team at each age group. Within each age group players may be tiered based on skill to provide the most ideal development environment for ALL players. 

TOP Hockey Teams

Given the low number of spots we have available on each TOP Hockey Academy team, tryouts and/or Open Houses are in place to determine spots on those teams.

Teams will be chosen based on the following criteria (in no particular order): philosophical fit with TOP Academy, work ethic, attitude, coachability, athleticism, and skill. Once offered a spot on a team, players will not be cut or removed from the team until the following year's tryouts in the earliest instance. Exceptions to this include poor attendance and attitude issues with players or parents, which can result in immediate removal from the team in accordance with the Athlete Code of Conduct.
